kids don't need you to be a superhero, they just need you to be available

You want to be a great parent. You want to encourage your children to develop into kind, confident, independent people. You want to create the best possible environment for your kids to thrive.
So you try to inspire them, guide them, support them. But the truth is, you're struggling.
Of course you'd love to sit down and hear about their day. You had big plans for daily family meals, afternoon walks, game nights and frequent family holidays. To laugh and play together, to bond and connect.
But there simply aren't enough hours in the day. There's always something else demanding your attention, from urgent work calls and overflowing laundry baskets to school projects and social obligations.
And when you finally do find the time, you've no idea where to begin. You're feeling overwhelmed and have started to doubt your parenting skills. Your battery is flat.
As a working expat mum with two amazing but totally exhausting kids, I know a thing or two about flat batteries. I've dragged my family across continents while trying to keep the business afloat, missed countless of family dinners due to overran meetings, have been impatient on many occasions and even slept through my daughter's nightmares. Most of all, I've felt guilty.
I've met too many amazing parents who lack confidence in their parenting skills, feeling guilty and inadequate. And feeling guilty sucks.
Now, I don't pretend to have all the answers, but I've learned a few things over the 10 years I've been parenting. And I'd love to share them with you, because every parent deserves to feel proud and confident. Turns out that kids don't expect us to be super mummies and daddies, they just want our undivided attention. Some dedicated family time.
This site shows you effective ways to spend your family time, whether you Stay in, Go out or Travel. It takes the hassle out of planning your precious family time, be it your kids' birthday party, a DIY project or a family holiday. Guides and templates all available for you to download and implement, so you can spend less time planning (I already did that for you!) and more time playing, building and bonding.
